Web & app development studio · Kenya

We build apps we own and apps you own.

Three people — data, design, and engineering — who split their time between launching products of their own and building products for others. In both cases, the standard is the same: data-informed, well-designed, and shipped.

What we do

Two models, one standard

01

Our Own Products

We conceive, design, and ship software products we own and operate. When we build for ourselves we have skin in the game — which means every decision is real, every trade-off is ours to live with, and nothing gets shipped we would not pay to use.

  • Data-validated product decisions
  • End-to-end design and engineering
  • Launch, growth, and iteration
  • Long-term operation and ownership
02

Your Project

We take on a small number of client builds each year and treat them exactly like our own — fixed scope, fixed price, and the same team from first commit to launch day. Web apps, mobile apps, and the tools that hold operations together.

  • Web applications and dashboards
  • iOS and Android mobile apps
  • Internal tools and automations
  • Store submissions and deployment
03

Ongoing Support & Maintenance

A monthly retainer for software that is already live. We know the codebase, we respond to incidents, and we ship improvements without you having to re-explain the context every time something needs to change.

  • Monitoring and on-call response
  • Security and dependency updates
  • Performance and cost tuning
  • A named engineer who knows your stack

How client projects run

STEP 01

Conversation

An hour with the people who will build it. We say plainly whether we are the right studio for the job, and we mean it either way.

STEP 02

Shape

We scope the work, map the critical paths, and put a fixed price and a real date on the first release. No ambiguity to hide behind later.

STEP 03

Build

Weekly releases to a staging URL you can use. You talk directly to the people writing the code — no account managers in the way.

STEP 04

Launch & hold

We ship, hand over the keys and the documentation, and stay on call for as long as you want us to.

Three people, one workshop

Anvilrow is a private limited company registered in Kenya in August 2026. Three of us started it because we kept seeing the same pattern: good ideas left unbuilt for want of a team that could handle data, design, and engineering without the handoffs.

We split our time between products we own and projects we take on for others. The split keeps us honest — when we advise a client on a technical decision, we are making the same kind of decisions on our own products that same week. Nothing gets theoretical.

The three

What each person owns

01 — Data

Numbers before opinions

Market sizing, user research, product analytics, and the quantitative work that keeps us from building things nobody wants. Every product decision at Anvilrow — ours or a client's — starts here.

02 — Design

Interfaces people understand

Product design, UI systems, and the visual language that makes software feel considered. Designed close to the engineering so nothing beautiful becomes impossible to build.

03 — Engineering

Code that ships and holds

Web and mobile development from architecture to deployment. The person you brief is the person who writes the code — no layers, no outsourcing, no surprises in the final review.
